The Secretary's Desk
Brothers, good news! We have 14
new Master Masons in Barkley Lodge
as of March 20th from the Grand Master’s
One-Day Class. On April 7th, we
had a “Walk about the Lodge” for 10
of the 14 new Brethren, conducted by
RWB Robert C. Cygan. All the new
Brethren received their Bibles, their
2010 dues cards and their name
badges. All of the Brethren present
signed their Bibles that evening.
A new Barkley Directory has been
printed as of April 2010 and all the
Brethren on email will be receiving
theirs very soon via email, please save
it for future use. If something about
your name, address or phone is incorrect,
please let me know ASAP. With
the new directory, I need more
Brethren to help with the call committee.
Please call or email me if you can
help in any way.
Brethren we are still having a very
nice problem. On April 7th we voted
into membership in Barkley Lodge
three more new candidates, and we
have more petitions coming in soon.
We will be doing plenty of degree
work the rest of this year.
Please bring in at least one new
member so our Lodge and the Fraternity
can continue for many years to
come. If you would like a petition
please call me at 216-521-5557 and I
will send you one right away. Please
bring one in!
Presently, I have 326 Brethren on the
Barkley email list. If you would like to
be added to the Lodge email database,
please email me at robert.jr2176@sbc
global.net so we can keep you informed
of upcoming activities, events,
dinners, illness and/or deaths in a
very timely manner.
If you have an email address, I am
sending you the current issue of the
Barkley Light. If you would like to
keep receiving a hard copy, you must
let me know via email or call me. To
help your Lodge save some money I
need to hear from you.
If you know of someone who would
like to advertise in the Barkley Light,
please let me know ASAP starting
with our fall issue. Ads start at $37.50
for five issues. Please supply cameraready
ad to our editor, W.B. Larry
Davenport.
The 2010 dues season is over for
now, BUT start saving up for next
September. The cost is still only $40.00
to belong to the best fraternal organization
in the world.
This is your Lodge; please support it
as often as you can.

BOARD, put the dates in
your date book.
There are no strangers here, only friends you
have not as yet met.
